InsurTech has changed the insurance landscape over the last few years. One of the technologies being utilised by insurers is wearables. Wearable data provides information that can be exploited to both improve our understanding of health and mortality related risk factors, and also used as an indirect channel to incentivize and help improve health behavior for society.
Wearables also hold much promise for the health and life insurance industries to incorporate health and behavioral data to aid insurance underwriting, pricing, product innovation and customer engagement.
This talk provides an introduction into the current state of insurtech and the potential use of wearable technology in the insurance sector.
